OVERVIEW: The Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons of Connecticut extends monetary grants, on a competitive basis, directly to students enrolled in a post high-school accredited educational institution. The Committee on Educational Awards evaluates applications and makes recommendations, which requires the concurrence of the Most Excellent Grand High Priest. The donations received for this purpose from Royal Arch Masons and Chapters limit the number of awards to five (5) during the year.
ELIGIBILITY: At least one of the following criteria is required:
” Active member in good standing in a Chapter of the Order of DeMolay
” Senior DeMolay
” Active member in good standing in an assembly of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls
” Majority Member of Rainbow
” CT Royal Arch Mason in good standing, their children, or grandchildren
AWARDS: Scholarship grants to a student entering or currently enrolled in an accredited college or university shall not exceed one thousand ($ 1,000) per year for the duration of the student’s term of study.
Scholarship checks shall be made payable to the recipient of the award. Any balance due on an award shall cease when enrollment is discontinued.

Letters of recommendation, preferably from Masons, and transcript of grades are required. Application must be received by March 31 of each year. Previous recipients of the award must resubmit updated applications to be considered in subsequent years. Those selected will be notified after the Grand Convocation in June.
